Back To School

Ah, surprising to say, I kinda enjoyed school today. The first half of the day went by (poof!) pretty fast, i must say. Afterall, it's only inclusive of Chinese & Computer Studies, which was pretty fun! Thank the gods and whoever is up there, after praying and praying at the temple yesterday, we had a lovely chinese teacher for a start. She wasn't too bad i reckon, in fact, she's pretty nice. She's from China by the way, that's why i had to pray hard that she's nice. heh. Surprisingly, she knew how to speak English, knew how to read our minds, knew about how much English we speak at home, thus, thinking about how to get us to speak Chinese. She makes me enjoy my Chinese lessons! She makes me wanna go home and revise Chinese! Goodness, I can't believe it. lol... amazing!

Anyways, the whole day, the only boring part was Literature and History, but History ain't too bad 'cos it was mostly groupwork thingies. So, I wasn't falling asleep or anything. *phew* :p

Pretty amazed at the fact that I quite enjoyed school. Wonder if i would tomorrow though. Afterall, the first day after a vacation is always the best. Sigh, hope for the best then!

Oh, when i came home, i was having a throbbing headache, so i thought i might as well walked home instead of taking the bus. (It was the bus earlier that made my head ache!) And, what could be worse? Having a headache, walking by a park which smells of...i don't know what. smells worse than a rubbish dump. smells stronger too. only could try to speed up my pace. then, when i reached my flat and while waiting for the lift, this fella walks outta the lift with a cigarette in his hands which is lit up. Damn that guy. I could only try to hold my breath while praying that the lift would go up faster. Geez, ban those bloody fellas who smoke in the lifts!

ah, been going to town lately. was out with my brother (goodness, i haven't been out with him alone to suntec before, believe it or not. lol) last night, cos his friend rented a stall at suntec (level 6), so we visited it. his friend apparently told me my brother was witty. i'm like "duh" lol. he's always been. hahahaha...! he's lame too, and evil. *sigh* lol but that's what makes him interesting. anyhow, it was pretty nice to hang out with him. we had dinner at subway, and he told me to pick vegetables...i'm like "eek veg no!" and he's like "what u wan? no pickles...no olives.." i'm like "HEY! how u know i hate pickles! and olives!" lolz. initially i was abit worried about us having not much to talk about, since the rubbish NS started. thank goodness, we were crapping all about. ah nothing surprising. :p

anyways, went to orchard area today...caught Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle! i wouldn't attempt to try to talk about what the movie is about cos it's almost impossible to talk about the story point. the story started off just fast and furious and ended off pretty cool. drew barrymore's one of my favourite actresses, by the way, and she did pretty well in that movie. i liked the way cameron diaz did her girlish stuffz in the beginning. *laughs* and MATT LEBLANC IS IN IT! *yells* lol. heh heh oops! very good movie, though it's like a mix between power rangers and mission impossible. lol...the moves are good. the action, the style was goood. though it's like "eh...you won't die after you jump out of a vehicle and it is heading the sea?!" and stuffs like that. very nice though. i enjoyed it tremendously!

my cousin and i kinda shopped around, and once again, we saw this guy who was asking for donations (yes the $2 one). and it was the same guy who told me and daphne we looked like sisters. so it was like..
the guy: hi, could i just take up a bit of your time to tell you what this charity drive is about. blaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...
Me: oh. erm, actually, that time i came with my friends and you approached us twice.
the guy: oh is it? cos it's also my last day here, and perhaps you could just help these people and.......(blah blah blah)
((My cousin was jus grinning at me the whole time))
Cousin: o..k...*starts to dig out her wallet*
Me: hey, 1 buck each lah.
((the guy ranted on and on in the end i jus took out 2 bucks))
the guy: thanks man. what's your name by the way?
Me: Annabelle...
the guy: and you?
Cousin: nameless.
the guy: oh, nameless guy!
Cousin: yar...just call me S.H.
the guy: S.H.E.?
Cousin: NO!
Me: she hates them.
the guy: oh..my name is (i cant rmb how to spell it.) Ulersis (?! it's pronounced as you-ler-sis) just say hi to me next time you see me on the streets lah. haha.
Me: er ok.
((rushes off))

damn. some luck. AGAIN. lol. sigh. anyways, then we met Jeremy and a lot of other Power98 crew, but only particularly spoke to Jeremy cos he was walking somewhere our direction and i waved so he came to say hi. surprisingly, he remembered i had a missing cousin (she ran off when i approached him last november) and laughed when he saw my cousin standing next to me. :p and he was with his girlfriend, Jamie/Jaime (?! sheesh i suck at spelling ppl's names don't i?) oh by the way, had some famous amos cookies i just bought before i saw 'em and i couldn't finish it. and a while later we saw Kenneth and i kinda gave him the rest of the cookies. lmao. i can't finish a damned 100g of cookies. pathetic. :p but they were nice. *nod* and AH! I think Denise doesn't remember me anymore.

anyhow, do catch Full Throttle. it's a blast!

ah. it was a lovely night i had yesterday. basically half the crowd, or make that more than half, turned up in denim skirt/jeans...i was like "ah they fooled me!" to my friends, again and again. lol! anyway, i reached there on the dot, at 5pm (we agreed to meet at that time). and apparently everyone arrived late. fashionably late. lol. i was quite surprised though, cos i was usually the one late. heh heh. anyways, then my friends agreed my dressing was very formal (duh). looked like i was going for a job interview or first day of work or something. i was wearing this maroon blouse with black pants and boots. (goodness me) matching watch (the strap's maroon) and matching bag (it's black & red). lol!

anyways, we just went walking about a bit. no we weren't shopping at all. we walked about in city link, then suntec, then McDonalds for dinner (lmao). i devoured my cheeseburger meal with great delight, surprisingly! haven't had that in ages! (i've been eating at starbucks/gelare/n.y.d.c.(*winkz lianne*) and all those stuff and i haven't eaten at McDonald's!! lol!

ah, anyways, then we just found our way to esplanade. i didn't quite like the part of entering and waiting. every1 was trying to spot every1. my senior spotted me and was like "u really dress very formally man" and stuff. but i couldn't be bothered to care more, at that point of time. :p but hey, one of my friends who turned up earlier dressed almost the same as me *gasps* her top was about the same colour but different as a whole. same type of pants. :p but she was in sports shoes. lol..and most of the sec4s were dressing up very nicely. dress & all that. very formal event that i think i managed to camouflage nicely (thank goodness).

the event started promptly after 7.30pm, whereby the TKGS symphonic band performed first. i only could recognise the tune by Utada Hikaru's First Love. there were soloists here and there, really like the tune of them. very sweet melody. it's probably the first time i'm appreciating these sort of music. then there was the Minnesota Symphonic Winds (adult symphonic band from USA). i liked their playing better though. anyways, their conductor-in-charge made a pretty funny speech. enjoyable performance. the merged performance was goooood. but all in all, i still loved the soloists. ;)

after which, we just had a few more photographs taken and we found our way back to the mrt station...then when i reached tampines my bro rang..
bro: eh where are you?
me: tampines interchange. waiting for the bus but doesn't seem like any bus is moving.
bro: oh. eh tomorrow night wanna go suntec anot?
me: AGAIN?!!?!
bro: again? yar.
me: i jus went last saturday, and just now, and tomorrow night? er should be can lah.
bro: okay.
me: eh keep the door open for me k?
bro: nono. good night. cya tomorrow!
me: ....

erm. yea, did i mention my bro's evil? lol i think i needn't mention. he IS. *nod* when i reached home my dad and bro were still awake so yeah. :)

ooh...blogger's improved on their settings and stuff. goody!

my house is so bloody quiet now. unbearably quiet. i can hear nothing but my typing. afterall, my grams and mum had a huge argument yesterday...and it all started from my grams for favouring my bro to hell. every teeny weeny trival matter, my grams is picking on my mum over the slightest things. no wonder they're both mad at each other now. my grams is seriously totally favouring my bro to hell. or earth or heaven, whichever way u start from. it's ridiculous, the way she starts any argument. and i'd laugh my arse off if anyone tells me i'm jealous. firstly, jealous of what? if she favours me, she'd be arguing with my mum about ME. no thankiew there. secondly, i don't wan her to bug me whenever i go out. thirdly i don't wan her to prescribe me any medicine at the slightest cough or sneeze. bless me. that's hell. but then again, thanks for well-wishes. im fine now. wasn't in a very pleasant mood yesterday, that's all. :)

looking forward to tonight. going shopping at citylink/suntec (again), before going to esplanade for my school band concert. goodness, u can't believe how glad i am, to not have dinner at my own place tonight. *phew* :p brilliant...cos we're not allowed to wear denim..and casual clothes, so im gonna wear a blouse and most prob a skirt...and i'm gonna bring my camera to shoot every1 in their formalwear. hahaha....it's gonna be fun *nod me* im going to look like im goin for a job interview. ahhhh....oh well. look like a silly idiot. though i'm gonna be shopping around first. woohoo. goody. it's gonna be a blast! blog abt it tomorrow i guess. ;) wish me luck!

watched The Wedding Singer yesterday. it was gooood. (if u don wanna hear abt the story, skip to the next paragraph). it was about adam sandler who's a wedding singer. drew barrymore whereas is some sorta waitress at weddings. they were friends, and adam was about to get married to this lady called Linda in the show, but during the wedding, Linda decided not to turn up, and in the end she claimed that he wasn't the right guy for her. drew barrymore, on the other hand, was proposed to by her bf (i can't rmb his name) and it turned out that her bf was a jerk who's a playboy, in other words, a pervert too. lol! oops. i found him pervertic, at least. anyways, it turned out that drew barrymore realised she was fallin in love with adam sandler, so she tried to visit him at his house, but she found linda appearing in his house. and linda obviously won't tell adam that drew's there cos linda liked adam all over again. drew was heartbroken to see linda back in his house, so she agreed to the wedding with her bf (she doesnt noe he's a jerk y'see) in vegas. then, adam knows he himself was falling for her, so he rushed to the plane (he didn't know it was the same plane with 'em). he took the first plane available (there was only 1 seat, which is in the first class section, left) so somehow he got along very well with everyone at the first class section and he told 'em the whole story. then they figured drew and her bf was on the same plane, and he played "i wanna grow old with you" through the speakers and came out eventually, and told her he was falling for her. it was verrrry nice. i think i missed the sweeeet parts in this summary.

anyhow, it was a lovely show. glad i caught it. ;) was rather pissed halfway through last night. cos of my grams. cant be bothered to go into details, but basically she was bloody biased, and just because she thought if i remained watching tv, my bro would join me, and eventually stay up late. and she was sorta ordering me to switch off the tv. like doh is it a bloody crime to watch tv alone at night?! *rolls eyes* like d'oh, don't be lame. *shrug* i remained watching anyways. *grin* i plugged in my earpieces into the hi-fi system and muted the tv, so i was listening to the tv through the hi-fi. she was rather satisfied with my actions i -think-. though she was still pissed that i refused to turn off the tv. not that i cared anyways. ;)

watched the princess diaries on vcd this morning. ah...another lovely movie...i thought it was reaaaaally nice. ;) im glad i caught princess diaries and what a girl wants, though they were pretty similar. teen-flick-scenes rawwwwk. rawk on!

hung out with lianne dear yesterday. i enjoyed myself. im sure she did, esp the shopping part, considering she was tryin on the clothes everywhere. lolz. i did have fun, watching and staring and judging the clothes she tried on. (remember the denim skirt, dear? *LOL*) basically we met at heeren first to take a neo-card (pls don put it on the net, dear. i reeeeeally suck in that one). then we went on to citylink...then suntec. mostly we entered all her favourite shops, just to mention a few - dorothy perkins...topshop...etc. my dear godsis has a huge crave for black clothings. *nod nod* then she treated me to some cookie store (cant rmb the name of it), and she told me "life's not worth living until you've tried that" errr...right dear. tho' it really -is- nice! ah, the only store where i tried on some stuff too is some shades store. we practically tried whatever sunglasses we laid our eyes on. i tried this bright yellow one and it was even brighter than the original scene. hmm. defeats the purpose of putting on shades, doesn't it?

anyways, we just shopped and shopped, till we almost dropped, (but we didnt drop!). then she treated me to n.y.d.c. *YUM* we had manhatten mudpie and erm..lemon something. (goodness, somebody do something to my memory, please!?) the drink was bloooody good. good to drink after talking so much, good to drink after a whole lot of ice cream. :p (thanks for the treat hunnie!). it was goooood. should frequent there whenever i can afford to. ;p recommended. hahahaa...

later on, we went to catch this charity busking event. there were breakdancers, indian dancers, bands who does covers of punk/rock bands. it was good, for most of 'em. i think we enjoyed the indian dance really lot. i was amazed, really. they were like shoving whatever energy they have out. in between there were teeny bit of breakdancing. a lot of carrying about and stuff. really really good. :p no wonder they were all skinny. the band we saw/heard was the original something. can't rmb the name as usual. *damn* the drummer happened to be a friend of hers. they were pretty good, i guess. the music was better than the singing tho they were good altogether. :p they played good songs. like reel big fish+save ferris's "she has a girlfriend now", bowling for soup's "girl all the bad guys want"..etc. we ended up deciding to download the songs they played. lolz..

anyway, it was a lovely day out. found out many similarities between us...like..
1. we dislike whipped cream. lol
2. we -love- the mudpie. *nod nod nod*
3. we like the gd-smelling shower thingies. (hey dear, i had to go past there, on my way home, with much difficulty. *grumbles*)
4. we swoon over the same sorta guys. (think the calling's lead singer. *nod*)
5. we end up downloading songs we heard played by the band at the charity busking thingie.

and more...but im a bit lazy to type now. lolz... oh when i came back i had this huge cold-war between me n my grams for a little while cos i was home pretty late. but i cant be bothered anymore, anyways. she was clearly not in a very nice mood, so she took it out on my mum and me. *yawn* what's new?

im bored. just thought i could do a couple of these....

Daily Double
1.What is your ideal vacation - Sun bathing and swimming on the beach or skiing/snowboarding down a snowy hill?
hmmm...im not the tanning type, so no sun bathing nor swimming...most prolly it'll be skiing/snowboarding down a snowy hill. it'd be brilliant to experience snow, and i'd love to learn how to ski..but will we have this in singapore? no. lolz....dang!

2. What is your favorite flavour of ice cream?
definitely chocolate ice cream. cookies and cream'll do great all the same. coffee and strawberry works for me too. vanilla....getting bored of it. ;p

Friday5ive
1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short?
woh...all about hair. umm straight and shoulder-length. definitely long to me cos i haven't been allowed to let my hair grow to this length before, but definitely short to others. :p i think.

2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime?
*giggle* let me tell u. at first, my hair was growing (when i was born DUH), then i had bloody short fringe. my hair was almost like the girl in Light Years. well ALMOST. then i was allowed to let my fringe grow..so it became like all same length. my bro told me i looked like ah ma. :p so, last year i went have my fringe cut a little and layered. but now they all look the same length. talkin about this, i might attempt to cut my fringe later on. hmmm *ponders*

3. How do your normally wear your hair?
umm...lately because of the weather (it's been bloody hot!) i'm having it all tied. sometimes half tied.

4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like?
*giggle* hmm like kelly clarkson's prev hairstyle? the pretty divided, brown + blonde type. think it looks really nice. but errr...it's definitely gonna look weird on me. well u meant for a while only, right? :p

5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened?
nah...but i had only one bad hair day so far. when i woke up, it was like totallyyyyyy umm..i dono how to describe, but anyway, i dont usually tie my hair until i reach school, but that day, i couldn't comb it straight so i jus tied it all into a bun and hope it turns better in the later part of the day. lol...

This-or-That Tuesday (k im lagging)
1. Newspapers or magazines? lol! definitely magazines. music mags to be specific. lime, max, tv hits, smash hits, rollingstone, bring it on! ;p
2. Books-on-tape or regular books? on tape? what does dat mean? regular books....i guess!
3. Paperback or hardcover? fine with both. doesnt make a difference to me. lolz...
4. Fiction or non-fiction? fiction! lolz..i'd dieeeee if u give me those educational books. one page, zzzzzz.
5. Sci-Fi/Fantasy or romance novels? romance novels. im a sucker for romance stories!
6. Borrow from library or buy books (either new or used)? hmm doesnt make much difference. mostly library. no need to pay :p
7. Subscribe to magazines or buy on newsstand? buy on newsstand. but i love to subscribe, cos u won't have to specially go to the newsstand to get it. but i usually buy on newsstand..
8. Current best-sellers or classic literature? neither. :p usually i jus go to the library, see whatever catches my attention, bingo, take it and get it borrowed out for myself. ;)
9. Read books once, or re-read favorites every so often? re-read favourites! i've been reading my A Walk To Remember like a zillion times, and each time, i still feel the same tinge of sadness!
10. Here in the U.S., we have two hot best-sellers...former First Lady Hillary Clinton's memoirs, and the new Harry Potter book (coming out June 21). If you had to read one, which one...Hillary or Harry? Why? harry potter i think! i dislike reading a book abt ppl...like the book on Lee Kuan Yew my bro has...i never ever ever touched it. :p but i don't read harry potter books either. lol! i only watch the movie. ;)

wokays! it's been 4 days since i last updated an entry..sorry darlings! but umm..if u checked my calendar..the past 3 days, i had to go to school or i've been out, so not my fault really. since my brother's Basic Military Training's over, he's been coming home for dinner, so when he's around, i'd get easily nagged at by my grams when i'm using the comp when that's his only free time to use it. yaggedy yaggedy yag...

anyways, i was at school on tuesday to complete my project (what a hassle!). and it was raining pretty heavily in the morning...and i was freezing...so when i took my temperature..it was like 35.5 degrees celsius. *giggle* now, that is low. *nod me* anyway, halfway through, the rain stopped and we went out for lunch, and when we were back, in the circular block, the pillars were totally filled with...i dono! flies or fleas or something! *shudder* on the floor, above the grass-patch, everywhere! we got pretty freaked out, and especially in a girls school, we could hear screamings and stuff. *lol* kay it may seem funny now, but then it was really freaky. like it was some movie i caught before or something! *shudder* anyway, when we were about to go home, the fleas/flies were dead. as in totally dead. all lying on the ground. bloody icky sight!

anyways, was out with quite a lot of my friends (sorry lianne, copied ur style ;p). basically our plan was to meet MingLi later, after we bought her a gift, and wish her happy bday. But most of us were gonna be late, so silly me came out with a lame excuse saying that i had stuff to do at home before i could get outta house, so she'd be even later. then Kenneth (had a record-breaking experience with him las night, for talkin on the phone for like 3 hours+ <10+pm to about 2am+ !!> it was almost 4 hours. crapped a lot as usual. i wonder what we actually talked about now lol) still went "aiyo mingli! so late!", and the look on mingli's face was like i-thought-anna-told-me-to-be-late! made me feel so bad. umm...anyway we went bowling at Cathay Cineleisure...where cathay bowl is (i never knew there was a level 9 there lol). we had a game of bowling which i sucked at. lolz. lowest score i ever had :p umm, considering the part where we were supposed to change lanes, ChunTsen didn't know, so he rolled down 6 pins, while i told him i'll give him a shot, and somehow, i got a strike for him (GRR). halfway through, there was this guy called Zack Ong, who was there to bowl...pro-bowler. pressurising game to bowl a lane next to him. Lol. whenever he bowled and didn't get a strike, the next shot his aim would be SO accurate to finish the rest off. unlike us, we'd jus give it a shot and hope we finish the rest off. (LOL)

anyway, after that we went to starbucks and i introduced every1 to mocha frappucino, (but mingli and yu pei didnt take that. god knows why. lol) and yeah...drank and drank....but one thing i hated abt that place. cigarette smoke all over. *shudder* we changed seats once, and we just went off after we could stand the smoke no longer. so we went on to annex in heeren and took neoprint-cards. (no im not gonna put the picture here lol. im not stupid y'know. :p) and walked about b4 goin off. a lotta crap in between lolz. had a lot of laugh and stuff. it was a lot of fun, really. *cheers the 5 of ya!*

happy advanced bday, mingli!

p/s: a few nights ago, caught A.I.(Artificial Intelligence) on vcd with my cousin. it was a very good show! about this robot-kid who loved his mummy a lot a lot and i do mean a lot! it was a v sweet and touching story. i'd recommend it, if there is any vcds/dvds u guys wud wanna consider renting. though it's a bit long. :)

You are an Extrovert!

What is your mental profile?
brought to you by Quizilla
stalked by old bald men? *shudder* i need a bodyguard. any offers? :p

anyways, happy daddys' day. was out the whole afternoon, half the time spent on travelling. lolz, was down at Holland Village earlier. had lunch at Michelangelo, had like papardella something (couldn't remember the exact name). it was soooo cheeeeeesy. bleaurgh. i had slightly less than half of it, and didn't feel like eating any further. (yes i was pretty full too but still...) my dad ordered chicken kieuv (i hope i spelt it right) which was dee-lee-cious! *grumbles* not fair. as usual, my dad paid. it was supposed to be on me and my bro, but my bro (*glares @ bro*) had only a few bucks with him cos he didn't withdraw money. urgh. felt bad once again. then we went on to dorset road to visit my granddad...and one of my uncles was there too, so he had a chat with my bro. i could tell he was trying his best not to make me feel extra by sitting there without anything to say, and i tried to put up my best sweet innocent front. umm to be honest, i wasn't very keen on going there to have a chat cos i always couldn't find much to say to 'em. (that's my mum's side u see. im closer to my dad's side.) my bro was usually the more socialable one as there seem to be always something happening in his life. like getting into a jc, taking a levels, his parttime job, NS (National Service), BMT (Basic Military Training), getting into a university blah blah. well as for me...umm...*shrug* nothing much i guess. apart from PSLE (Primary School Leaving Examinations) score and which secondary school i got into. just the boring stuff. i think i'd die of boredom if my bro wasn't around when we visit them. lolz.

anyway, we planned to go bowling right about this time, but i guess they all were either tired, or tired of getting outta house. just wasn't what i planned. i'm bored. as in really, terribly bored. and i'm still full of energy. why can't we just go bowling? it isn't very energy-consuming, is it? during dinner, i had a v long conversation with my brother.

me: so are we goin?
bro: where?
me: bowling.
bro: are we goin?
me: yar, are we goin?
bro: are we goin?
me: umm...i think that's what i asked you.
bro: yea, so are we goin?
me: doh. are you tired or anything?
bro: yea, we took a cab from here to holland v, and from there to dorset, and from dorset back to tampines. ooh, my back is aching.
me: *rolls eyes* right. so are we goin or not?
bro: are we?
me: oiiiii...are we or not?!
bro: dono lah...

in the end (AFTER dinner), he said we should just go next wkend since we've been out for so long. i thank god mothers' day and fathers' day is only once a year. *sparkle*

Friend #1: You got horrible eye bags man. now, u look like an old woman.
me: *gets worried* i have eye bags?! *shrieks*
Friend #1: Yar!!
me: *gets frantic*
me: Do i have eye bags??!!
Friend #2: Yar....
me: Serious?! *worried & goes to another friend* do i have eye bags?!?!
Friend #3: A bit lah...
me: a bit only ah? then why she exaggerate until like i really turn into an old woman already?!
Friend #3: no lah...a bit only lah...
(later on when we went for lunch)
me: do i have eye bags?????
Friend #4: Huh? No lah...
me: U sure? how come they all say got?
Friend #4: *observes & stare for a while* A bit lah...not very obvious.

only then was i willing to relax. lol! oh well...to help get rid of it, i slept for 10 hours for the past 2 nights. *grin* it's almost gone. thank goodness. *phew*

umm...anyway i went out with my grams earlier believe it or not...(lol) she wanted to go buy some herbs, and thought i could accompany her. Well, i did, and it wasn't too bad i guess. on the way there..we had a slight conversation...well it obviously wasn't in English. it was in teochew, but im a gd translater *sparkles*
grams: did u tie your hair b4 u go to school dat day?
me: i did tie my hair...
grams: is it?
me: mm.
*pause*
grams: aiya, can try to keep your hair until you're bored of it.
me: *gets excited* yea! now if i cut it, i won't be able to tie it up and with the weather like this, it'll be even hotter.
grams: ya.
me: *starts beaming away*
my god. that's like a miracle. :p i've been forced to cut my hair for my past 13 yrs, whether i like it or not. it only grew uncontrollably longer this time, and when i was about to be forced to cut it, SARS came...and gone. then the hot weather. then....she finally gave in! *yells* I CANT BELIEVE THIS! :p anyway we took a cab there *grin* (that's one of the reaons i like goin out wif her. lolz. a) we'll always take a cab cos it'd be inconvenient if she has to take the bus. b) she'll usually ask if i wan chocolates or something. whee :p)
anyway at the herbs shop, she bought some stuff and...
the uncle there: is that all? u wan ?
grams: no need. we have that at home.
uncle: how about ?
grams: my son bought a lot of that the other time.
uncle: erm....what about ?
grams: haha..my son bought that at your main branch for us already. (me giggles)
some customer: whoa, maybe she opens another herb shop at home.
(all laughs) :p

it was pretty funny the way they said it. :p the poor uncle was cracking his head to think of names of herbs that we might wanna buy, but my grams was nearly turning down everything. lolz. anyway, she ended up walking about in the shop and bought -a lot- others. so, to my bro & cousins, we're gonna have loads of herbal teas to drink soon. *shudder* :p oh oh...and there was quite a couple of times when i heard them mention something about luohan, i wasn't sure if they were mentioning about the fish (luohan) or just some other things. gives me creeps to think that that fish was made into herbs. *shudder* there was a lot of weird stuff to look at, at a herbs store. :p pretty interesting i guess.

then we went onto a supermarket and got some other stuff. then again, she asked if i wanted chocolates, but i didn't. guess i'm gonna watch wad i eat now. :p *laughs* anyway, whenever i was bored while she looked around, i'd stare at my feet and wriggle my toes, admiring my shiny-coated toenails. *laughs* it's a good thing i painted it. or i'd be -bored- there. *grin*

I swear i didn't like this song because of the singer kay. but it's by Oliver James. yep that cutie in What A Girl Wants. :p it's called Long Time Coming...and i love the lyrics too... ;)

Everybody wants to be loved every once in a while
we all need someone to hold on to
just like a helpless child yeah

can you whisper in my ear
let me know it's alright

it's been a long time coming down this road
and now i know
what i've been waiting for
and like a lonely highway
i'm trying to get home
ooo love's been a long time...coming

you can look for a lifetime
you can love for a day
you can think you got everything but
everything is nothing when you throw it away yeah

then you look in my eyes
and i have it all, once again

it's been a long time coming down this road
and now i know
what i've been waiting for
just like a lonely highway
i'm trying to get home
ooo love's been a long time... coming

didn't know i was lost
til you found me... uh huh
didn't know i was blind
but now i see

can you whisper in my ear
let me know it's alright

it's been a long time coming down this road
and now i know
what i've been searching for
oh been a long long highway and
now i see
ooo loves been a long time
ooo been a long time
loves been a long time... coming

proud to say, painted my nails earlier. =) proud of my masterpiece. lol! i was playing around, wondering if my mum has dark colour nailpolish like black or something. wanted to try out, but relax, she didn't. (aww shucks!) anyway, i had 2 colours which were quite similar, beigey silver & beigey pink. what happens is u need light to tell 'em apart. when there's light, only then will you see silver and pink. initially i was wonderin if i shud paint all my toes on my left foot one colour and the other on the right. but i thought it'd look weird. so i painted it alternate. lolx! i love it. as for my nails, i tried one red one and it sucked. :p so removed it and just put a shiny coat on my fingers instead since i have school on monday as well (ouuu damn!) erm..anyway, i -might- paint it again after monday if there's no need to visit the school anytime soon, again. ;) been pampering myself lately. paint nails, treated myself to mocha frappucino yesterday, bought a new skirt... i love my life! whoopee!

by the way, was watching the wildcard episode of the American Idol 2 today, and found that....they liked Clay from the start!! Let me quote Simon... "To be honest, i think Clay's performance was the best last night." *screams* okay it wasn't last night, but u get the idea. *grin* i liked his performance of Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me..he looked very calm, just singing like he was born to do so, but i saw through Carmen. She was -so- nervous. :p Caldwell did very well too. liked her song. yay, top12 tomorrow!

had a lovely day today, being able to go out to catch a movie, also, to shop about (bought a skirt for 17 bucks! :p im utterly broke now. to add to that, had some sort of light lunch at starbucks so loads of $ spent!). anyway, my cousin and i caught What A Girl Wants which was an excellent show. (if u don't wanna know the story details jus skip on to the next paragraph) It was about this girl called Daphne (played by Amanda Byrnes), who went to UK to find her dad, who got separated from her mum 17 yrs ago because of one of the guys who was some sort of official, somewhat like that (her dad's one of the royal ppl y'see). then, she goes to this mini hotel for a mo, and met this guy called Ian (played by Oliver James *swoons*) who was in a band and had a lot of jobs *laughs* he happened to be the receptionist of that hotel. anyway he's pretty cute. lol. erm..anyway she told him about her dad and stuff. she managed to find her dad somewhat, and he lived in this humongous place. and there was a guard there, but she decided to climb over the gates anyway, and was found by her own dad, thinking she was a paparazzi. but she showed him her birth cert and a picture of him she had and stuff, trying to convince him she was his daughter, when his fiancee tried to persuade him out of inviting her to stay at their mansion. Henry (daphne's dad) however got persuaded by his mum to let her stay. so she did, and there was this fashion show which they were invited to, and Henry decided to get Daphne along. However, daph's stepsister lied to her telling her she could dress in a casual manner. So, she did, but because she was late, her dad didn't see her before the show to tell her to change or anything, and she went by the wrong entrance, realising she was mistaken for a model to catwalk. After realising she was supposed to be modelling, she just had her fun on stage, while the judges for that fashion show gave her a 10. :p and Prince Harry, WIlliams (*swoon again*) and Prince Henry were there too. :P it was brilliant. (prince wills was cuteeeeee :p) erm..she accidentally fell and landed on prince henry's lap who was in between the other 2. lolz. (LUCKY HER!!!) anyway, she was pretty much in the limelight. then for the next party, she and ian got the party started cos it was pretty boring. and they got into trouble. then there was this race thing they were invited too. and this guy who thinks he's bloody brilliant, tried to make daphne like him, but got pushed into the water instead, and b4 the reporters could ask much, she and her dad ran away on a bike, and went shopping...which was really nice to watch. erm...then when they got into trouble, daphne tried to change into an elegant lady but she wasn't happy...erm..basically her dad decided to sort his priorities right and chose his family over those political stuff, and became a commoner and joined daphne and her mum back in US...and of course Ian too. ;) basically just catch the show. it's brilliant!

and cute guys in there.... Oliver James + Prince Wills. (or Prince Harry, depends on whom u prefer ;p) waaaay cool lol!

anyway, we had a online webchat with Utt 2 days back on Monday...and his manager, Mel, who's lovely (whaddya know? she likes smallville too :p) erm yeah...i thought i was over him but he appeared in my dreams again last night. I wouldn't go into details but it was much better than the last 2 ones i had. :p i think im nuts again. *shudder* GET A LIFE ANNA! :p

ah was out earlier with my brother to Siglap...went to Video Ezy to rent some vcds..he rented The Pianist while i rented Bend It Like Becks and AI *grin* by the way, was in the midst of watching Clockstoppers, and i've got plenty of shows more to watch! what's more, i'm most prolly catching What A Girl Wants with my cousin tmr (at TM >.< we wanted to be back by 4pm to watch the repeat of american idol u see :p) so gonna shop around a bit, and meeting my friends next wed, and ice-skating with my friends the following monday. also, catching my school symphonic band at esplanade the following thursday. what a busy holiday. but i love it! :p not like it's a bad thing anyway. heehee. anyway my brother treated me to waffles with a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top of it at Gelare earlier, and a cup of mocha (again lol. i've turned into a mocha freak!). i love my bro. ehehhee...he's got army pay, so there's no excuse. keke.

anyway, my current fave places for mocha is Starbucks and the cafe at the ground floor of the building where Power98 is at...i hate original mochas which taste like coffee (those bitter sort. ugh!). the mochas there taste good. sometimes it tastes like chocolate! ;p heh heh. the one at Gelare was the original one so i didn't quite enjoy it. *shrug* the waffles was good though. yum! (oh shucks, i 4got my diet again). erm anyway, figured i'd drag my cousin to starbucks tomorrow. heh. :p

was watching the repeat of American Idol yesterday. Group no.2 of the top32 ppl, where Clay, Ruben & Kimberly Locke are in. (wow the top3 are from the same grp!) Anyway, it was one of the nicest groups to watch, as compared to the other 3 groups. Especially the part where Kim L. argues back with Simon Cowell. lol. brilliant. just thought i could type the conversation out...
Simon: ....... If you got into the next round, it'd be on personality. Personality wise, i'd give Ruben a 10, and you a..4 and a half?
Kim: I disagree, i disagree.
Randy: What would you give him?
Kim: A ZERO. A well-deserved zero.
Paula: woo!
Simon: *amazed* okay, a 5.
Kim: I would say "Thank You", but i just can't find it anywhere behind my back.
Paula: (stands up to clap)
Randy: (cheers)
Paula: Woo! Give me a 5.
Kim: Ok! (goes down to give Paula a high5, and Simon too)
(then to Simon) I thought you were sexy, but you SUCK.
(Paula & Randy cheers more)
Simon: (looked very amazed) Er..6? It's going up!
(kim walks back into the room and mentions something like..."I didn't go into a law school for nothing!")

*applauds kim's courage* it's the judges she's talking abt here! lol. but surprisingly, i thought she turned into a very demure person when she was in the top12. ;)

i reckon im ms-ing (notice it's not pms-ing :p)..am feeling quite bad about my behaviour earlier. my mum was showing me some stuff about some offer to stay at some chalet for free because of some NTUC link member points thing. then i remembered someone telling me about having to book quite a while in advance, so i told her i'd check it out on the net for her. however, the internet connection screwed or something, it just couldn't get me online. i've plugged the usb port out and put it back in many times, also, shutting down the comp and restarting it again, but it just didn't seem to work. i doubt my mum knew what was going on with the comp, she just kept asking me to check and check, while time and time again i told her to wait. i just wasn't feeling like i was in a very stable mood then, i was like throwing my temper almost yelling, telling her to wait and giving her that face till she went out of the room and cooked noodles for herself as lunch. felt horrible. but now we're fine again. *phew* i -hate- to be in terrible terms with my mum. ;-)

anyway, yesterday my brother was asking me to go to town with him...i was feeling quite awkward, couldn't tell him the reason why i couldn't go...
Brother: Eh, wanna go Orchard?
Me: Er *pause* don't want lah..
Brother: Why not?
Me: Don't feel like going out today..
Brother: Got great Singapore sale now you know?
Me: Yah, but just don't feel like going out...next weekend okay?

oh well. :p but together with my parents, my brother managed to drag me out to Expo anyway, cos they wanted to look at some stuff, particularly laptop, for my brother's university years. one thing interesting about my role in shopping when my brother's around is to constantly remind him about the price and if it's worth it. lol! anyway, we took a cab there (i think we were all feeling kinda lazy) and there was this detecting fever device, which was pretty cool. caught a glimpse of it. save us all the trouble for individual taking of temperatures anyway. i saw the screen, by which they show colours indicating a range of temperatures on all of us. we were mostly all orange-yellow. when there's red colour on some part of a person, it -should- mean that person has a fever. but anyway, we were only allowed to go to the halls after putting on a sticker indicating that we're fine. It was absolutely crowded. packed like sardines. :p i could feel my mum grabbing onto me, afraid we might lose each other in a crowd like this. :p anyway we went to see some digital cameras, and my brother and the salesman seemed like they had a lot to talk about. we were looking at this canon digital ixus camera...then the powershot one. the price was pretty worthwhile, but it's not like we use it very often, anyway. in my family, i'm the one using the camera most often by the way, and i doubt i will carry the digital camera out if it's actually worth $500+. so we just said we'll reconsider..and went to walk around before grabbing a bite. while walking around, we saw the Miss Singapore Universe 2nd and 1st runner-ups advertising for some cameras. they were very pretty, i must admit, though i thought they were pretty much heavily made up...anyway...coincidentally (or unfortunately?), i happened to see him there. apart from an exchange of greetings -> "What the hell are you doing here?", we didn't talk much lol. but i really was wondering how i could actually see a friend in a packed place like Expo. *shrug*

anyway, we went up to Coffeebean and were queueing up, while i was wondering what jobs i could take up after my streaming. while queueing, we realised the lady there was the only one working(!), thus taking a longggggg time to complete an order. so we went downstairs to another cafe, realising it was pretty expensive too. so we took a cab to Eastpoint instead, and went to Starbucks (my current fave cafe ;p). I had a Mocha Frappucino which was "dee-lee-cious". i love mocha and that was the best one i've tasted so far. and i had a serving of brownie, and we all shared a packet of potato chips. they had this unique version of potato chips. tasted nice. u guys shud try it. :) then we just went to popular and shopped around. i've therefore decided to go to rent vcds/dvds with my brother some time. :)

but then again, my brother formatted the comp yesterday, so -everything-'s gone. just started downloading the programmes back not to worry. and i -think- i'll start downloading some movies. i hope my media player can work with movies now. the other time, my media player didn't allow the avi files to appear. but i think it's working again, so i might not rent vcds/dvds after all. *ponders* well...haven't decided yet. i'm such a pirate. damn. :p

i happen to love this track frm Kelly Clarkson taken off her "Thankful" album...called Anytime.

Anytime you feel
Like you just can't hold on
Just hold on to my love
I'll help you be strong

But you're so afraid to lose
And baby I can't reach your heart
I can't face this world it's keeping us apart
And I could be the one to show you
Everything you missed before
Just hold on now
'Cause I could be the one to give you more

Anytime you need a love baby I'm on your side
Just let me be the one that can make it all right
Anytime you need a love baby you're in my heart
I could make it all right

I look into your eyes
And I feel it coming through
I can't help but want you more than I want to
So baby take our love your way
Cast them all on me
That's all I ever wanted was just to make you see

But I could be the one to heal you
All that you've been searching for
Just hold on to my love
And baby let me give you more

Chorus

Now there's no way out
And I can't help the way I feel
'Cause baby I'm on fire
And I'll be waiting right here
You know our love isn't real

Chorus

seemed like ages since i last updated...! so many stuff around me just happened! bear with me for a while. there's plenty to say..

on wednesday, we had our softball quarter finals (because there's 9 classes in each level, they drew lots for a class to go straight to the quarter finals, and lucky for us, we got it, so we're on a safe level. unlucky for us to lack of experience as compared to the rest). it was quite alright. we were against 2e8. their fielding weren't very good, thus letting us have a easier time to complete a home run. at the start of the game, we were pretty pissed at the softball coach (she isn't even in charge of this damned inter-class tournament) cos she set this rule that all ex-softballers who quit on their own accord cannot play. those who got kicked out were allowed to. she was obviously picking on this girl in my class who was in softball 8 months ago. so we were pretty panicky cos we didn't have a short stop (which happened to be the next important role next to the pitcher). *shrug* they just shoved me into that position and i was *very* worried. very tensed. very nervous. very mad at the coach too. we had always practised with her as the short stop! but anyway, we won 2e8, cos they were more musically inclined than being sporty. so in the end we beat them with a score of 11 to 5. right after the game, i totally broke out into tears. u couldn't believe how tensed i was. 1) i had always practised as a small role behind as the out fielder, who catches only high balls and throws them back to a base. 2) she was always in front of me, and she usually manages to catch the ball, unless it really is a far ball or high one which goes all the way to the back. but this time i was right in front. 3) i was in the midst of anger with the coach for her biasity (if there's such word). 4) i've never been in a bloody sports tournament in sec sch, so i was hoping to have her in as a support cos i know we'd do well with her around. when it was over, i knew i screwed up a little, i didn't help in scoring at all during fielding, but i did in batting & running. right after a round of batting & fielding, i jus ran back all about to burst into tears, and then the empire told us we had won. happy & angry tears combined. lolz.. so for the rest of the time i jus went to the small area of sand and stood/sat there and cried.. anyway, at the other games, all their scores were lower than 11, so we went straight to the finals!

on thursday was the finals...i wasn't very prepared either i guess. my friend, again, wasn't allowed to play. that was so bloody infuriating. anyway, it was against 2e3 (a class which i quite disliked cos some girls in there pretty much tarnished my impression of 'em). we lost badly, as in very badly. very very very badly, to the extend that im not gona mention our score. but we got 2nd. then again, it was bloody nerve-wrecking. it was one whole lotta experience, but it wasn't v nice. the practices were very fun, but that was it, i guess. the senior who was teaching us all the while was brilliant. i liked her a lot, cos she's damn nice and helpful. no don't get me wrong. :) but i pretty much admire her. she's cool & ready all the time, and doesn't let anything much worry her. that's her type. pretty cool. :) anyway, during the game i screwed up a lot this time. as in A LOT. as usual, while fielding, i missed a lot more balls...about 4 of 'em. the very last home run, again, i screwed up. cos i was really tired by then. ran and ran and ran. re-ran and re-ran and re-ran. didn't manage to run to home in time. so the score was horrid too. felt terribly guilty by the end of the game, but my friends were supportive. so i was controlling my tears. jus learnt that in sports tournaments, esp like this, crying is the last thing in the sportsperson's mind. cos i don't see anyone crying. (okay maybe one person...apart frm me)...but the rest of my team mates don't. so im learning now to C.O.N.T.R.O.L. *nod me* very valuable experience however. ;)

yesterday we had operation clean-up for our class. it was pretty fun cos it's supposed to be an hour thing. but we did it like less than half an hour and the rest of the time we were crapping, playing away. lol... after we cleaned our own table, chair and the section we were allocated to, we had a little massage session. lol. this girl in my class was good at massaging so she tried on my shoulder. lol...den audrey massaged my arm too. *laugh* anyway, after that would be the giving out of report book so one of my suddenly-very-close-to-her friend was telling me she was very worried and that she was going to cry. i told her not to worry but i kept an eye on her, cos i could tell she -was- going to cry. and yea she did. i was quite worried and panicky. my only way was to drag her out of class to wash her face. it wouldn't do her good if she stayed in class and everyone went "what happened?", cos if it were me, it'd definitely make me feel worse. so we had a little tiny chat at the toilet, till she was ready to go back. i wasn't worried at that point of time, to be honest. i had no clue why either. till our FM walked in and dey began to give back the slips. so my friend and i had a deal. when she gets back her result slip, she'll not look at it, till i get back mine, then we exchange slips and look at it for each other, then tell each other if it was good. i stared at hers, she was position no.13. i was so happy for her cos her last position was 26! she went up by half her position, then she saw mine was jus gave it to me with a smile, and i stared at it. i was position no.6!!! *screams* :p i was bloody happy, we just started hugging each other, grinning frm ear to ear. :p i was sooooo glad. my only B (which is a B3) was chinese! and the rest were A1s and A2s! *jumps* whoopee...! i improved everything but art. lolx which i dont quite care but ahhh!! :p

all in all, i had a lovely day yesterday. glad to have another good friend..been talking to her online lately hehe. feeling much happier in school around cos i have a group of mad friends. a group of dirty friends. a group of sporty friends, and my usual lot of friends. :) i love my class!

today was terrible. =p firstly, chinese was a bore. i was trying hard to keep my attention focused on the teacher. lol somehow, only when some girls make fun of the teacher, will i be more awake. but it's natural i reckon. lolz... PE was pretty boring. i wasn't in the mood to play touch rugby. we sooooo wanted to play softball as practice for tomorrow's tournament. HELP!!!!! *shudder* anyway, we didn't. so i was pretty dead during the game. i've got 71 for literature! whoopee! :) goodie.

anyway being 2/6/03, it's my class (2e6)'s birthday! whee. we had a birthday party which was fantastic. was bloody bloated after that. *grin* there were spaghetti, beehoon, chocolate muffin-cake, fishballs, triangular-shaped-spring-roll, plenty of chocolates, jelly, plenty of drinks, plenty of crackers & tidbits, and our birthday cake! *grin* chocolate! yuM! and i had a tiny piece of strawberry. double yum! was gorging myself with food manz...

anyway, when we went back to class, our geography teacher is back from her maternity leave. *yawn* i dislike her. she's boring. flat, plain, strict, boring! i was falling asleep but i doubt she cared. :p so it didn't matter! i miss our relief teacher. she was better. and more fun! we bought her this bright pink bikini and gave it to her when she came to our class party *laughs* it was funny! she got so embarrassed. :p then she said "i'm too fat to fit into this". and i made this comment that if she couldn't get into it, no one else could. lolx. she's slim, alright! very slim! :p i always liked her fashion style. ah well..

during english was embarrassing. plain embarrassing. we had our own version of a poem slam (which means there'll be someone reading poems in different ways) and my way happened to be singing. i took this poem off the literature book. lolx...but i liked it. it goes like this...

Waterfall
Dividing and gliding and sliding,
and falling and brawling and sprawling,
and diving and riving and striving,
and sprinkling and twinkling and wrinkling,
and sounding and bounding and rounding,
and bubbling and troubling and doubling,
and grumbling and rumbling and tumbling,
and clattering, battering, shattering;
retreating and beating and meeting,
delaying and straying and playing,
advancing and prancing and glancing...
- Robert Southey

lolx the whole class was laughing. so we had 3 judges from the audience. one gave me a 7, one gave me 7.5 one gave me 9.5. lolx. upon 10 that is. lolx...sooooooo embarrassing. i felt hot in my cheeks. bet i was blushing profusely. *shudder* one horrifying experience! lol..!

had long john silver's combo1 for lunch much earlier...and again, some chocolates that were left over from the party - ferrero rocher, time-out and hershey's. :p yum. i'm seriously gonna need a diet. yesterday, i had a mix of coffee icecream and strawberry icecream. then i went to the supermarket to get a bar of dairy milk chocolate. holy cow! ;p i'm gonna grow fat. but i need to be in shape for tomorrow's game!!

anyway it was scary last night. i wasnt in a right state. i was feeling giddy + nauseous. and i couldn't quite balance when i tried to get off bed. i had quite a problem trying to get to sleep too, but i did manage to anyway, after turning on the radio. *shudder* whoever i told, everyone told me i stared too long at the comp. *grumbles* EVERYONE told me that. can't there be another reason to it? *grumbles* but was feeling much better today, thankfully. hehe. :) gonna slp early tonight. im still bloody worried + nervous for tomorrow! argh! help!

Daily Double
1. If you were in the peak of your career, what would you choose, love or your career?
errrrr....depends....i -think- love, if my career isn't exactly what i wanted though it's doing darn well....but basically, i haven't experienced love. so i can't give u an answer :p

2. Which is the song that pains you the most when you hear it?
perhaps Not Gonna Get Us by t.A.T.u. it's sooooo....annoying! lol...pains me to hear it! ugh! ;p *screeches* not gonna get us....they're not gonna get us....not gonna get us... *shudder*

had quite some fun yesterday at Novena Square, where they were having the Great Singapore Sale. was almost returning home with guilt. well, basically Jeremy Ratnam & JA were hosting this mini-roadshow kinda thing. there were a lot of games (which half the time i was hiding behind a pillar with pj and jasmine, my pri sch mate, for fear of being sabotaged again, like the other time JA did when they were here in Tampines for the Total Defence show). anyway, we met up with a lot of ppl - Kenneth, YJ, YP, Ming Li, Eunice, Daphne, Denise, Pamela, PJ, Karen and of course Jasmine. :) apologies if i left any1 out. but i was basically hanging out with jasmine and pj.

the way ja started the games and stuff was hilarious. esp his comments. such as "putumayam with cheese!" lol. that didn't make sense but it's okay. *laughs* jeremy sang 2 songs - shai's if i ever fall in love and daniel b's if you're not the one (some remix). it was alright i guess. at least better than i expected. :p anyway before that, jasmine and i went to shop about...first of all, bought Kelly Clarkon's Thankful. (jus heard it a couple of times today. it was lovely! *doesn't regret buying* i love the song Anytime. sounded familiar...hmm...Diane Warren wrote a song for her! lucky gurl! :p i hope Neil Sadaka writes for Clay. hehehe. *shuddup anna!*

then we went about, shopping in stores which sell from clothes to cosmetics to chocolates. oh oh jasmine bought this strawberry bath shower gel which was on last day offer - 2 for $9.90. and she gave me a bottle! so sweet of her. but it smells lovely! smells like the jelly i used to buy in primary school. :p always attempting to smell my skin after a bath. *grin* oh well.

anyway, was feeling pretty bad for quite a while, cos there was a point in time where i went to daph (in front of the stage) to tell her something, and when jeremy started to say that he needed 3 volunteers, i immediately headed to the pillar we were hiding at. then pj and jasmine added to it. lol. but i can't blame them cos i -was- quite mean. but anyway i wasn't in much of a mood yesterday honestly. if you could tell, darn. if you couldn't tell, that means the front i put on seemed pretty genuine, whether it's good or not. i was feeling rather tired and stuff. i couldn't be bothered to drag myself to go say hi to the djs. neither could i bother to stand there and get sabotaged by anyone. and i wasn't in much of a mood to smile for the camera. (so hey, those who took a pic with me, the smile was forced out if it looked fake. pardon me!) but i felt pretty bad on my way home...oh well. i hope no1 took offence. but i'm in a chirpy mood today. *growls* if only i were as cheerful today for yesterday.

but then again, it was great to meet everyone again. :)
