It finally marks the last day of September 2003! Finally!! My class was absolutely delighted when our history teacher complimented on our angelic behaviour, so she's gonna get us children's day presents! Woohoo! :p I'm just a kid... *sings*

Had a chinese test today, which was awful! I'd have to really count on my lucky stars, hopefully they do something magical which transform some of my answers to become right ones. *shudder* It's bad it's bad it's bad! *growl* I wanna do well for it, mind you. Darn it. *crosses fingers* Can't quite wait to get it back though, shockingly...

Exams starts in *counts with my left hand* 3 days!! I need just one hand to count that! *shudder* I don't want them!!!! *growl* The teachers JUST had to mention, "especially the Sec2s, when you're having your streaming this year..." Yes, yes, thank you verrrry much. *roll eyes*

I don't know about you, but my enetation doesn't seem to work very well. For the past few days, I can't seem to see what comments you have left. *growl* Hope it works soon. But, if the problem persists, (which I will whine about it again if it does) do try to leave comments on my tagboard instead okay? :)

I can't wait for the exams to be over. I go out less (except the cycling trips. those don't count!), I use the comp less, I hardly touch the telephone. Well... still sms quite an awful lot. *guilty look* WHAT, that's my only mean of communcation kay. oh well...

2 current cravings/addictions:
1) coffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
2) cycling (don't look shocked. *glare*)

the exercise thing's not gonna work! went jogging in the morning, had chicken chop in the afternoon (bloody filling, mind you!). went cycling earlier, had quite a big dinner. *burp* oops. :p dear me. need a better exercising plan. *nod me*

anyway, had a change in cycling route, and i think the drivers who had to stop for me (most of 'em), shud be damn pissed. lol... think it was almost very disastrous. *shudder* shall explore the other parts of tampines another time. :p

oh oh! and my dad suddenly took out his notes collection and showed me his banana-money collection *drops jaw* if they were still in use, we'd probably be pretty rich! tons of hundred dollar notes! :p and also some malaya notes. oh well! :p pretty fascinating stuff!

Daily Double
1. Backstreet Boys or N*SYNC?
definitely *N Sync. I -love- their songs and dance routines. hope they come back together soon! *crosses fingers*

2. Hilary Duff or Amanda Bynes?
umm. i like hilary duff for her songs and Lizzie McGuire..(god, i've turned into a lizzie mcguire fan. *shocked*) i like amanda byrnes for What A Girl Wants. *thinks* probably hilary then. ;p very poppish teen queen kinda thing. (ooh they all rhyme!) amanda byrnes only has her acting skills to fall back on..and they're alright i guess. i just like the story line. :)

Wasn't in the best mood till Home Economics today. We had some baking of cookies to do (and mine turned out well! whee! yum!). It was a CA, mind you. It carried quite some marks, but i screwed it up a bit. *giggle* I got my teacher and I wet, because of my clumsiness at the tap, I made my friend's hands full of soap 'cos I had too much of soap while cleaning the mixer, and I couldn't turn on the tap, so i made her do it and we ended up laughing quite a bit. Then, while creaming the butter and sugar...some stuff happened while i was playing with the mixer. *giggle* then my teacher asked if i've baked cookies before, and i said i had. (*grin lianne*) aiks. :p Quite some madness. heh ;-) then, i got quite hyped up after that...

anyways, was out to buy dinner at the coffeeshop opposite my primary school, and started reminiscing upon seeing the school bus. *chuckle* suddenly remembered how silly I was to take the school bus, when it's only about 15-minute walk from home. I took that for granted, and i remember sulking about the 1-hour journey for me to take to school when I just got into Secondary School. *giggle* now i'm no longer complaining.

A quick entry before I dash off to continue mugging...

Was pretty proud of what I did yesterday. I mugged for the longest, I've done since the start of the year. I just studied consistently... more of making notes actually. (i usually study from notes not from the book) The duration of it was approximately 4 times of Bon Jovi's Bounce CD, and once of Kelly Clarkson's Thankful CD. I couldn't bear to continue after that. :p But it was enough.

Slacked a lot today, so I'm off to study!

P/S: When our counsellor told us something about controlling our emotions and actions today, I just happened to realise I was probably one of the few who actually "self-talk" a lot. "Self-talk" meaning letting all your thoughts run through your mind, like should I do this and that? Is it wrong to do this and that? and just basically talk to myself, but not in a mentally-unstable way, mind you. :p Oh well. Penny for my thoughts.

It's officially a month since my birthday! Gee, and it doesn't feel like it. Not that it actually truely felt like my birthday on the day itself. But, oh well.

Went cycling to the nearby Popular Bookstore earlier, while my granny made a fuss about me cycling there. (There's such things as a pedestrian pathway, my dear. AND, also, traffic lights.) *giggle* Little did she realise I've always been cycling there. Oh well. :p She thought I've been cycling at the park all along. *shakes head* That's where all the kids love to stop me, so NO WAY. It's probably easier to cause an accident there. *shudder*

Anyway, seems to me that everytime I cycle, there's always some annoying bits. Nope, I didn't fall this time. When I was waiting for the lift, 2 guys were with their bikes, waiting for the lift. Then the lift came so I let them go in first while I was about to wait for the other lift.
Guy A: Do you want to come in?
Me: Nah, it's ok.
Guy A: Why?
Me: It's okay. *stares* (doh. the lift's full u expect me to shrink and squeeze in or what?)
Guy B: *stare at Guy A and laugh, then stare at the lift* (doh guys, PRESS THE BUTTON!)
Guy A: *stares at Guy B and laughs*
Guy B: *Presses the button*
Guy A: Can you help us... *door closes*

*chuckle* I love the bit when the door closed. Like, honeys, I'm waiting for you to move so that I could press the button for the next lift? *Shakes head* Some guys never grow up. They still gave me that immature, "why? come in and join/help us lah", that cheeky stuff. Doh.

I'm getting American-Idol frenzy all over again! (sheesh) American Idol 1, American Idol 2, you name it. Kelly Clarkson & Clay Aiken namely. That's cos i just saw Kelly & went across some Clay site where the people are REAL wacko. lol. I'd be happy to put up the site link but i can't find it 'cos i accidentally exited it, so when i come across it again, i'll put a link up for that.

To recollect a bit, just now was the first time i was waiting outside a hotel since a1! That would make it one and a quarter year! Gee. No wonder i went squealing when i saw Dee, Kelly & Nora. I haven't seen them for a year and a quarter, that's why! :p Ah, kinda miss all that days. Now, I realise, as you get more comfortable with chasing, you don't go way early to chase/wait for the stars. You go late, or just a while before it. It could be because it seems like just something you'd do when you're free, or you've got connections, and stuff. Like today, we just strolled to Fullerton, despite knowing Kelly Clarkson would've been there before us. lol...we just chatted and all that while waiting, instead of keeping a close eye at the hotel lobby door. We just stood outside, finding familiar faces (the BMG peeps) instead of wondering if we should ask the van driver stuff (they usually don't tell anyway). Chasing, still seems ridiculous to some, but not to me. As long as you don't go overboard, and you still have fun with your friends, seeing stars is a bonus. :D I still enjoy it, and i'm looking forward to the end of my exams, cos i heard about some stars coming down! Whee!

P/S: I think people might be getting mixed up. When I mention Kelly alone, it's Kelly Clarskson. When I mention Kelly, Dee & Nora, it's another Kelly. lol.

(pardon me, this is similar to my post in jeremy's forums cos i'm kinda lazy to re-type all the stuff :p)

So, today's about Kelly @ Paragon!
i was there like 3-ish (it starts at 4) den saw shona, diane & sammi, so i cut in with 'em. (thanks dears :D) then, when she came we just patiently waited for our turn while sammi acted like she was gonna faint or cry or something. lmao. she was v cute. den almos goin up, i saw dee, nora and kelly...started squealing in delight while everyone else was screaming for kelly..quite amusing :p then, when i was on, jus said hi while she signed, i asked if i could take a pic of her (no pics WITH her allowed, but some ppl did, and i didn't noe. *dammit*) she agreed, so i told her my cam has 3 flashes, so she jus smiled, and froze there for a while even after the 3 flashes were done, then after a while she realised i think, so she giggled softly, feeling quite embarrassed while i jus giggled a bit. then i took out strepsils, shoved it on the table and told her it's for her, and she went, "thank you! that's so sweet!" with a slight chuckle..think she was rather amused by the gift! then i left... oh the BMG lady helped me to take a pic of kelly on stage *grin*

oh later on, we (me, kelly, dee, nora) went to fullerton for a while, then saw her come out of the hotel and onto her van with a light brown straw hat...a bit too fast for us to catch up cos we were merely at the bridge there... *shrug* she's leaving tomorrrowwww and i cant be bothered to go...supposed to be mugging. dammit :p

Kelly Clarkson's showcase at Embassy was goooooooood.

It comes to the point where i realise, when i really, truely, badly wanna see something, i don't get to. When i want to, i've got tickets. When i already have tickets, i have extra. or rather, melvin had extra, but he didn't have anyone to give it to. (i went on kenneth's ticket (thx!!)) So, frantic as I was, rang my cousin (didn't come after much persuasion... k maybe not that much. more of "why!??!!?" she didn't come 'cos she didn't think she would make it by the time she was out of school), rang lianne (suddenly she's got TWO tickets. lol), wanted to rang my classmate, but found out in the end that she fell ill (get well soon dear). So, we didn't bother any further, just held on to it.

While queueing, this lady popped out of nowhere and asked us with a worried but pleading look, asking us where she could get a ticket for a friend who wanted to see Kelly badly, and we just gave her the ticket. just like that. and she seemed rather loss for words, in the end we ended up talking about clay, and that she's been to New Jersey to see American Idol 2, before, and has gotten Clay's autograph. I almost fainted. :p i got even more excited and -almost- went crazy. so she just gave me her namecard and told us to email her, cos she's got some news or somewhat like that, i ain't sure, but just emailed her!

Kelly only performed about 5 songs, which was a letdown cos i expected "a moment like this". But, nonetheless, the other five songs (the trouble with love is, what's up lonely, miss independent (i think?! can't remember), some kind of miracle and low) were amazing. at the start, i was just frantically snapping pictures of her whenever she looked our direction. (Hey, i was excited alright?!) Apparently she didn't seem very pleased with the constant flashings that were all concentrated on her. Everyone seemed more interested in snapping pictures than enjoying her singing. So, i decided to forgo the snapping for a bit, and just sang along. AND, somewhere in between What's Up Lonely, she turned to our direction and caught me mouthing the lyrics and she had a little change of expression, and started smiling again. When i raised my camera, she didn't seem to mind, and in fact, smiled for me, so *grin* i sure hope none of the pictures went wrong! so, whatever's mentioned on the LIFE! papers today, are total rubbish. she didn't like fame, that's right. BUT, she was just plain tired by the time the LIFE! reporter was having his/her chance to interview Kelly, so too bad for him/her. :p she sure seemed like she was quite excited last night, looking rather appeased to see some familiar faces amongst the crowd as she kept saying about the people she met at radio stations and such. and, she seemed quite happy to see people enjoying her shows, so stop your snappings when u see her not looking as happy as she was! :p lesson learnt. hmm.

no wonder What's Up Lonely kept ringing in my head today at school.

What's Up Lonely

PBlue, I’m getting kinda close to you
Like a shadow I can’t lose
Hey, you’ve been hangin’ with me every day
Now you’re gettin’ in my way
I know you understand me
But don’t ya think that maybe it’s time to move on

What’s up lonely
Seems you’re my only
Friend who wants to share my pain
Tell me heartache
What’s it gonna take
For you to leave me alone today
Just when I think that you’re gone
You’re in the mirror lookin’ back at me
So what’s up lonely

Sometimes, I wish you weren’t by my side
Can’t you find another shoulder, cause I
I wanna leave this broken heart behind
We been wastin’ too much time
Find someone else to rain on
I’m really getting’ tired of singin’ this sad song

Chorus

Don’t wanna give you a reason
To hang around anymore
You won’t be hurting my feelings
If you find another broken heart you can lean on

i can't believe it. this is it. i'm going for kelly clarkson's little gig tomorrow at Embassy. (thanks to Ken for the tics!) *bounce* i'm hyper now. :p can't wait! gonna do some serious mugging later on, to make up for the loss of time tomorrow. whee.

anyway, had a history test, and it was pretty alright. i was quite confident for most of the questions...i hope it's gonna be able to pull me up. got my progress report back today, and i have like 4 subjects (out of 8) below cohort's average. which is exactly half the number of subjects. i'm not gonna make it to triple sci man. im dead. anyway, before i truely stress myself out again, shall remain happy about being able to go! whee!

Went for a blood test today at KK Hospital. It was bad. The nurse was looking at the other opposite side of my elbow, that area, and she thought my veins were too small to draw blood from, so she took it from the opposite side of my palm, and it hurts! It felt like she was tearing my skin apart or something. Before that, i asked if it'd hurt. She said, "If I said it doesn't hurt, I would be lying." That made my heartbeat speed up! I just turned away, tried to focus on a1's Like A Rose, to no avail - I still felt the pain, a lot. She drew enough for one tiny test tube. *frown*

Had a Literature CA today. It was poem recitation and the class has a share in judging the marks you get. I don't think it was fair that someone who sounded about the same as me to get higher marks than me. I feel some biasness within my class. It ain't fair. I'm disappointed.

ah *cheers* if u saw, i updated my homework list below. they're mostly almost done or done, except for the studying bits. whee, feeling so much happier. i spent the whole of yesterday doing art, and my index finger hurts like hell. this morning i felt as though it was gonna snap off! *shudder* but now it just hurts when i touch it. *grin* so it ain't that bad. phew!

speaking of september 11 earlier, i only happened to realise it was sept11 las nite when i switched on my radio, and JA and Jeremy were talking about it... it was already a year since i reminisced about all the bombings and attacks. and yet, all the suicide bombers and plans to attack a certain building or place or a group of people still survives till today. what a sad world we are in. some people wanna kill others, and they sacrifice their lives for that. what good does it do to anybody? true about their enemy dying, but they die too. so, is it gonna help? even PCK makes more sense than them. they need to "use your brain".

been rushing through a lot of stuff, after stressing myself up. look, there's only a few days left of the holidays and i have plenty of work left undone! thursday's almost over, so i've only 3 days.

To-Do List:
*Maths Textbook
*Maths Mid-Year Paper ('02)
*Maths Final-Year Paper ('02)
*Art [3/4 done]
*Study Home-Ec
*Study Chinese (Chap 21-34)
*Study History (Chap 6&7) [halfdone]
*History Worksheet
*Memorise Lit Poem

i am so dead.

was doing art earlier...spent my whole day on art basically. it's my final assignment, which is paper-cut (so you're given a huge black piece of paper, and cut ur work out and paste it onto a coloured paper...u roughly get the idea) and i've been using the penknife till my index finger hurt! think it's gonna get swollen by tomorrow. i'm about 3/4 done with the cutting, so i'm quite pleased, but the pasting of different papers would take up more time....need to go buy construction paper and all that crap. aiks.

nonetheless, i still find time to come online to just skive around. :p damn me.

anyway, i heard my granny complaining a whole lot about one of my uncles to another aunt...and that enlightened me for a bit. he came to our place 2 days back, and i was on the phone with mingli, rather anxious cos i needed her help for some music stuff, and she was playing on the piano, so i didn't stop her to get my bum off my seat and go to the living room to greet him. later on, i was searching for some stuff, still on the phone, going in and out of the room. then halfway through, my granny came into the room, telling me nicely that i should be out there to greet him, so i just nodded and she knew that i would, after i hang up, that is. when i was done, i went out, greeted him politely and what reply did i get in return? he got sarcastic. he went, "u only know my name now ah?" then i just smiled, walked into my room, couldn't be bothered to argue, cos i saw a can of beer in his hands. (my cousins and i came out with this point that we all agree. when he's drunk, 100% of the words that come out of his mouth is rubbish. when he is sober, 70% of the words is rubbish.) then he rattled on about me, saying i was impolite, i had no manners, and all that. i just shrugged, thankfully i was in quite a good mood, didn't bother. though, i was wondering why the hell is he so agitated?

so, just now, my granny was complaining to my aunt, a lot about him, the rubbish he says, and all that. so they had a quarrel, i reckon. that's probably why. i ain't surprised though. his foul atitude agitates everyone. including me. it stinks. and he loves to show off. i can't stand that. i remember there was once he told me he was from Dunman High. i didn't believe him, from the way i judge him now. but i think he thought i was being sarcastic, till he managed to convince me, but i just laughed about it. so what if he was from there? look at him now? we can laugh at the past! then he tried to boast about his chinese language. i know my chinese's horrid, and i couldn't take it, i just walked out of my room, leaving one of my cousin there to suffer alone (:p). that was during Chinese New Year. (!!!) last year, i tutored his son for about 4 lessons, and he agreed to pay me $200 if i tutored him for 8 lessons. so i should earn about a hundred bucks, right? he didn't pay me after that, then in the end, he just gave me an extra red packet during Chinese New Year, which was worth $20. i'm not gonna be calculative here, but if he can't perform what he says, don't say it.

then there was once, we were at another uncle's place, and he had guests from China. he thought he could be in the spotlight, so he mixed with the guests very well. however in the end, he started spouting nonsense about my uncle (the owner of that house) not being a good businessman, and that sorta stuff, and in the end inappropriately insulting them. and they were females, mind you. chinese females. how else could he insult them, apart from indirectly hinting to them they were for entertainment? then some neighbours from the next door came, and there was an african-american kid, and he kept saying stuffs like, "go back to africa lah." and all that. my god, thank his lucky stars she's only about 4 or 5, otherwise i'm not surprised she'd bash him up. i might've helped her with that too. *shudder*

i just cannot stand him.

Tell me about cycling, man. You just are able to see all sorts of people on the road. You see people who actually bother to move to one side of the pavement, people who look pissed 'cos you nearly knocked onto them, people who refuse to budge 'cos you don't have a bell but it was obvious enough by the sound of the drain that i ran over, people who frantically pull their child to a side, but their child, nonetheless, sticks out his toy and tells you to stop. You also see certain guys who are cycling and see you - this little girl who looks like you can't control your bike that well (well, maybe they're right), and then tries to show off a thing or two, or even tries to challenge you by speeding up a lot and constantly turning back to look.

Then, thomp! You swerve to the wrong patch of grass and crash! you fall flat on the ground, cursing aloud and staggers the way home wondering if you should continue cycling your way home. Then your right knee just hurts like hell, and your right palm feels the pain when it lands on your handle, like you don't have the energy to pull the brake back. So, you end up cycling the safer areas and stopping to pull the bike manually at the less safe areas till you're back home and you start whining about how much your right knee hurts to practically everyone.

that, is exactly what happened.

I wanted very much to start a new layout cos i was quite bored of the previous. *grin* So, i thought Ashton Kutcher would be a nice start. :) if you happen not to be able to find the tagboard, it's right at the bottom.

Haven't been online lately because of all the rush of school work and handling of stress and all that. Think i'll go into meditation soon. *shudder* or yoga, anyone?

I had CHINESE oral just yesterday, and it was a terror. I'd count my lucky stars if i could even get a nice pass. I totally freaked out and stuttered, and during the conversations, most of the time i had no idea what she was talking about. I just kept going, "err...." So, it sucked a big time. I'm in hot soup, baby! *prays the teacher's lenient*

Anyway, i had a consolation after yesterday, because I won John Mayer's CD! *cheers* Good album to get especially if you wanna calm down. *grin* Speaking of albums, my bro just bought Justified earlier, thus, it disappeared outta my wishlist, if you've realised. I'm dying for Hilary Duff's Metamorphosis. It seems rather nice! It's so tough to imagine she's barely 2 years older than me. Ack. She seem so much mature than I am! how sad.

Been attempting to reflect on myself almost everyday recently. Figured it'd be a good way to start almost perfecting myself. I haven't got a clue why i'm doing this, but i reckon it's a good thing. I've been trying to be nice to all my friends, including some ppl who i don't entirely favour, but, now I realised all the problems one particular friend's been trying to tell me but i've been just ignoring it. It's been lovely to know i could be a listening ear to anyone!

My Bro's birthday is tomorrow and I haven't got a clue what to get him yet! Figured I might just treat him to NYDC or something of that sort. He either has everything, or the rest are WAY out of my budget - like a guitar, and car. lol! He thinks i'm a millionaire. Apparently not! lol...

Bro: Aye, get me a guitar for my birthday!
Me: Right.
Bro: Thanks ah!
Me: *considers* NO MONEY!!
Bro: Get from your bank lah. Just gimme a few thousand bucks.
Me: My foot! :p We'll see lah. Then you'll have to give me your current guitar.
Bro: No problem! Electric guitar ah!
Me: How much is an electric guitar? A hundred plus?
Bro: No... *cheeky grin*
Me: Two hundred plus?
Bro: Nope...
Me: Five hundred plus?
Bro: *grin* Maybe?

now, that obviously is a lousy deal. Obviously i'm not gonna get that. So im gonna draw him a guitar and a lexus on his birthday card. *smirk* what a smartass i am. :D

k, so i was cycling earlier (yes, i can cycle, no, not on 3 or more wheels) and when i was going up this slope at the nearby park, when this malay kid barged to the centre of the top of the slope and said, "I'm the traffic man! Stop! Stop!" and stretched his hand out in vain to stop me, but having cycled in that speed, i'd either fly outta my bike or i'd crash him dead. like, curse that boy. curse him curse him. i just tried to squeeze through the little space on the right and, count my lucky stars, i didn't knock into anything. fook that kid. he'd better watch out. *growls* but i was quite pleased with my cycling already. *smiles*
